The first week of March I flew down to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida to visit my sister Cami and her husband Aric. Although I hate flying the promise of family, beautiful white-sand beaches, great seafood and shopping won me over. That, and Adam was going to be in Japan and I didn't want to be alone for ten days.
One of the first stops we made was Cami's work, an adorable beach side toy store called Duckies.

I had seafood every night for dinner. The craw fish were a lot of work for not much meat. They aren't my favorite shellfish but it was fun to try them!
Another fun shop although not quite as "classy" as Duckies.
Cami and Aric have two dogs, a Great Dane named Marley and a Yorkie named Gigette.
Gigette was my alarm clock a few mornings. I didn't mind because c'mon, look at that face!
I thought Cami was one of the few Cook family members that didn't own mass artillery. I was wrong. Sarah Palin watch out!
This was taken on the last day of my trip. It was hard to leave but I know I'll be back, this time I'll take Adam along.

I'm so glad that you got to go. Florida was one of my highlight trips. I am also incredibly glad that Adam is safe.
What a fun trip! I completely agree on the crawfish being overrated. And those shops are so adorable!! You should have brought Marley home and I could have adopted him! (Eh? Ehhh?) Keep us updated on Adam's status! I'm glad he's alright!
Looks like so much fun! I want warm sandy beaches!! Glad Adam made it safely back home also.
So when you gonna come back?! Gidget misses you! And who are the Jensens? If they want Marley they can have him!! Lol
